project spotlight

maven media management

This was a small but high-impact print project created for Maven Media Management, a social media and marketing business founded by Cami, a college connection and referral client.

After collaborating on a separate web project through a mutual connection, Cami approached me to design business cards for her own brand.

The goal was simple: create something memorable, on-brand, and conversation-starting for networking events.

the concept

We wanted the business cards to feel like an extension of her brand’s personality— modern, social-first, and visually engaging. Instead of a traditional layout, we explored ideas that would stand out immediately in a stack of standard cards.

The final concept was a phone-shaped business card, designed to feel instantly recognizable and relevant to her industry. The idea was designed around the concept of being “scroll-stopping”— mirroring the attention-grabbing nature of social media itself.

business card design

The design focuses on clarity and impact, balancing functionality with novelty:

  • Rounded corners to mimic the shape of an iPhone

  • Clean layout optimized for readability within a constrained shape

  • Strong brand alignment to reflect a digital-first business

  • Minimal but intentional typography to keep focus on information

The result is a business card that doesn’t just share contact details— it stands out and starts conversations.

The final cards are bold, unique, and highly memorable, helping Maven Media Management stand out in networking environments where first impressions matter.
