we let the dogs out
This was a branding and website project completed during my full-time role at a local digital marketing agency where I serve as the sole designer and creative lead.
We Let The Dogs Out is a local dog walking and pet sitting company with two Connecticut Shoreline locations— based in Guilford and serving surrounding the New Haven community.
The goal was to build a complete brand system and digital presence that felt reliable and fun while standing out in an oversaturated market.
branding & identity
The brand was built around approachability, personality, and clarity, with a focus on creating something memorable and scalable across platforms.
At the center of the identity was the concept of a dog holding a leash in its mouth, ready to be walked. From there, I crafted a full suite of assets, including:
A primary logo
Three secondary logo variations in multiple colorways
A favicon and submark
A custom brand character, Sonny the Dog, in multiple poses
Social profile images
A shorthand brand style guide was also created, outlining:
Logo usage and spacing
Color palette
Typography system
Asset guidelines and applications
The result is a cohesive identity system that feels playful, recognizable, and consistent across all uses.

The website was designed in Adobe XD, then developed by our team using WordPress with Elementor and custom code implementation.
My role extended beyond design into content strategy and collaboration, including:
Working directly with the client to refine website copy
Selecting and curating imagery that reflected real daily pet care experiences
Structuring content to ensure clarity, usability, and conversion
Designing page layouts with development feasibility in mind
The final site is light, airy, and personality-driven— balancing professionalism with warmth. It features real client pet photography, vibrant and inviting brand colors, and clear storytelling around what pets experience during their walks, visits, and care sessions.

The final brand and website system created a strong foundation for the business’s online presence, giving it a polished, approachable identity that resonates with local pet owners. The design supports both credibility and charm— two essential qualities for a service built on trust and care.
